Peoria Fashion Week Academy's Adult Stitch & Sew Class is now a pay-as-you-go drop-in program, open to the general population and all skill levels — beginners, returning sewers, and seasoned makers all welcome. Classes meet every Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Distillery Labs. Pay $25 per class at the door (cash or virtual pay). No long-term commitment — come when you can, work on your own projects or follow along with guided instruction. What we cover: • Sewing Machine Basics — Safely operating a machine, threading, basic stitches. • Measuring, Cutting & Fabric Handling — Taking measurements, fabric types, cutting patterns, preparing materials. • Sewing Techniques — Seams, hems, closures, construction. • Fashion Design Foundations — Sketching, fabric selection, garment planning. • Hands-On Projects — Beginner-friendly to advanced personal projects.
